about meran rose
I'm a big-picture thinker and a detail devotee — someone who loves both the forest AND the trees. I'm looking for teams brave enough to tackle ambitious projects and adventurous enough to embrace a little creative chaos.
Note: metaphorical woods only — actual forest navigation not included. 🌲 (italic)
After graduating from the University of Washington in 2013 with degrees in both Psychology and Informatics, I decided to pursue a career in consulting. I've worked with all types of teams, at all sizes of companies, supporting projects at every stage of chaos and calm. From first-spark ideation sessions in workshops to "Document_Name (Final) Client Reviewed USETHISONE - ACTUAL FINAL__v2.2" design production.
I loved the fast-paced world of consulting, but collaboration with new clients is incredibly difficult in a global pandemic. In 2022, I decided to go “in house” and joined Lexion—an early-stage legal AI startup.
When DocuSign acquired Lexion in 2024, I was beyond burnt out, both personally and professionally. I took a very intentional break to renovate my old farmhouse in South Park. I hoped that working with my entire body, not just my brain and my hands, would help me remember why I love building things in the first place. Turns out, it was exactly what I needed.
Guess what? I'm back. And I brought a design studio with me.
My Philosophy
- →I believe the world’s most interesting design challenges, the ones truly worth solving, do not arrive in tidy packages with all the right materials ready to assemble.
- →I search for the best in difficult, uncomfortable, annoying, frustrating situations
- →I strive to be a collaborator that says “yes, and..” and “what if” and “I wonder” and "How might me.." and "How hard could it be, really?"
- →I genuinely enjoy the creative process, in all its messy glory and delight in bringing others with me on the journey.
